After seeing Democrats sweep statewide races in 2022 and 2023, Pennsylvania Republicans on Thursday sought to frame their slate of candidates running for the Commonwealth's row office positions as being qualified for positions that shouldn't be run through a partisan lens.During an event kicking off the campaign for the Nov. 5 general election, legislators and party leaders highlighted their 2024 candidates for state treasurer, auditor general, and attorney general.
'The law doesn't say a Republican auditor general should do one thing and a Democrat auditor general do another thing. It doesn't have a specific ideology. It specifically said states that the auditor general does this and that's what I'm going to do,' DeFoor told WGAL during an interview.
