Jesus Rivera of Pensacola was sentenced on Thursday to eight months in federal prison for his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol breach, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

) - Jesus Rivera of Pensacola was sentenced on Thursday to eight months in federal prison for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021 breach of the U.S. Capitol, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

In addition to prison time, the judge ruled that Rivera must serve one year of supervised release and pay $500 restitution.after a bench trial on June 17, 2022, of entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly conduct in a Capitol Building; and parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol Building.
