FLAGSTAFF — A person was shot and killed by deputies with the U.S. Marshal's Office Wednesday afternoon, according to officials.State and federal officers were conducting a joint operation, according to Flagstaff police.
The U.S. Marshal's Office says deputies were attempting to make an arrest when the person drew a handgun. That's when deputies shot the person.Officials have not specified why they were making an arrest.Flagstaff police ask that the public avoids the area and that it will be closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
