Pete Buttigieg has a new gig. At least for one night.
The former presidential candidate will be guest hosting"Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Thursday, he announced Monday.“Very excited about that,” Buttigieg said on NBC’s “Today Show.”on March 1 and endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden the next day.
Buttigieg said he is traveling the country, thanking supporters, before getting some time away with his husband, Chasten. “Then we’ll come back and I’ll make myself useful in new ways,” he said on NBC. “But we’re going to have some fun first.”when he and Chasten attended a performance of “The Inheritance” in New York City on Sunday.Three days after ending her campaign last week, Massachusetts Sen. Besides doing what he can to help Biden get elected, Buttigieg has said he will get involved in down ballot races. He told supporters last week there are a lot of diverse leaders from a new generation whose contests will decide what the next president will be able to achieve and what will happen in state governments
While it was painful to come to terms with the fact that there was no path for him to get the nomination and he should withdraw, Buttigieg said there are benefits to no longer being hyperfocused on one thing.
