For the first time in history, the average price for a gallon of gas has passed $4 in all 50 states. The national average price of a regular gallon of gasoline Wednesday in just under $4.56 - a jump of four cents from the record set Tuesday.On Monday, gas prices in Philadelphia went down one cent overnight to average $4.88 a gallon. However, that average price is still up 15 cents in the last week.
