The fatal crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the area of South 51st Avenue and West Baseline Road, according to Phoenix police.
Phoenix police are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run collision that killed a pedestrian Tuesday night.
Upon arrival, officers found an injured 55-year-old man, later identified as John Franklin, in the roadway.
