Abacus Data: Supporters with a negative view are up seven points\u003B supporters with a positive view are down eight points.

But after last week’s French debate, Vincent isn’t so sure he will be voting for Poilievre.

Rima El-Helou, a former Conservative candidate in Laval, Que., said she endorsed Poilievre at the very beginning of the race — when the MP was the only declared candidate — thinking that there would not be an actual leadership race but“When I realized that there would be a race, I figured that I might have reacted too fast,” she said.

Supporters who have a negative view of Poilievre are up seven points whereas supporters who have a positive view of the candidate have declined by eight points in the past three weeks. Poilievre still remains the clear favourite among Conservative voters, far ahead of his five opponents. But while Poilievre might have some chinks in his armour, there is no real movement toward other candidates such as Charest or Brampton, Ont., Mayor Patrick Brown among Conservative supporters.
