Akron Civic Theatre is set to host its annual Pints & Pies tasting event. It features pizza, sweet pies and an array of craft beers.
Pints & Pies, a celebration of craft beer paired with different types of pies, is returning to the Akron Civic Theatre. Doors open at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13.Hoppin’ Frog Brewery will be unveiling Akron Civic Smashing Blonde for the event. It’s billed as a light, easy-drinking ale.
Craft beers will be paired with samples of locally made, artisan-style pies. Ciders, seltzers, meads and an assortment of beer styles will be available. Local chefs and bakers include DaVinci’s, Totally Baked, Gardner Pie Co., Twisted Tomato, Papa Roni’s, Dewey’s, Marques Restaurant, D’Agnese’s, Jett’s and Whole Foods.
