The celebration came just days after medical personnel had to administer CPR on the field for 10 minutes to save Damar Hamlin's life.
And, while you would have to imagine that there was no ill intent toward Hamlin, who has made a remarkable recovery in the days since his harrowing ordeal, it was, at least, an incredibly ill-conceived celebration considering recent events.
“Total trash,” another, who retweeted the video, posted.And there was a solid stream of people taking the team to task for the celebration.For what it’s worth, Highsmith’s last action on social media was retweeting Emmanuel Acho’s prayer for Hamlin to make a speedy recovery.
