Plácido Domingo: ‘Acepto toda la responsabilidad de mis acciones’

El tenor Plácido Domingo aseguró hoy que acepta “toda la responsabilidad” de sus acciones, tras “varios meses” de reflexión, y pidió perdón “por el dolor causado” a todas las mujeres que lo acusaron de abuso sexual antes de su dimisión como director general de la Ópera de Los Ángeles.

Domingo, que en un principio negó las acusaciones, indicó que “ahora” entiende “que algunas mujeres pueden haber temido expresarse de forma honesta por la preocupación de que sus carreras se verían afectadas negativamente”. En agosto, cuando salieron a la luz los primeros testimonios de mujeres que habían trabajado con Domingo y aseguraban haber sufrido abuso sexual, el artista dijo que creyó “siempre” que todas sus “interacciones y relaciones” con mujeres eran “bienvenidas y consensuadas”.
