Houston-based developer Hines is planning a Plano transit-oriented project with apartments, retail and pickleball.
“The development will be located at the southeast corner of 13th Street and Municipal Avenue, immediately east of the new 12th Street DART Silver Line Station,” landowner Metropolitan Interests Corp. said in a letter to city planners. “Railside Lofts and Courts will expand live/work/play opportunities that are critical to generating transit ridership and expanding downtown as a regional urban center.”along the new transit line running from DFW International Airport to downtown Plano.
“The large warehouse building along the DART railroad right-of-way is proposed to be preserved and re-used as an outdoor commercial amusement development ,” according to the planning documents.Developers and entertainment firms are scrambling to buildThe proposed Plano development would be the latest Dallas-area apartment project by developer Hines.
