SAN FRANCISCO — Major League Baseball players and owners ended a bitter money fight when a divided players’ association accepted management’s offer to salvage a 162-game season Thursday.
“I think it’s safe to say as long as I’ve been in this neighborhood this is the most important season of baseball for these surrounding businesses, for the people who live in this area,” said Scott Morton, the owner of MoMo’s. Those employees will serve the fans that come back to watch their favorite team take care of some unfinished business.
