A weak cold front could spark isolated to scattered showers this evening. It will be 80 or above again in most spots tomorrow.
Although temperatures were down somewhat compared with yesterday, they were still plenty warm. Dulles Airport set a record high for the second day in a row, given a maximum of at least 87 degrees this afternoon. As a weak cold front approaches the area, a couple of showers and storms could roll by at times this evening and tonight. Most spots won’t see a whole lot.
Scattered showers or storms may impact western parts of the region this evening, with a lighter shower or rumble threat across the whole area tonight. Lows fall into a 60-to-65-degree zone. Winds blow lightly from the south, switching to northwest late.A shower may linger through a few hours past sunrise. Clouds should break by midmorning, with a warm but less hot and humid afternoon to follow. Highs shoot for an 80-to-85-degree range.
