Police say the driver of an Acura was ejected from the vehicle after traveling at a high rate of speed on Frankford Avenue, blowing through a red light and crashing into another car.

According to authorities, medics responded to the 6600 block of Frankford Avenue for reports of a crash around 4:47 a.m. Investigators say a 2004 Acura was traveling southbound on Frankford Avenue at a high rate of speed and drove through a red light before it struck a Nissan that was also traveling southbound on Frankford Avenue.
The individual driving the Acura was then ejected from the vehicle and later pronounced dead around 5:15 a.m., police say.
