The charge filed this week involves an incident that occurred in March.

A police chief in South Jersey has been placed on administrative leave after he was charged in a domestic violence incident, according to public documents and officials.

Township police responded to a residence around 11 p.m. that night for a dispute. Moline, who lives in Woolwich, is accused of causing injury to someone’s neck, according to a summons issued Monday. He is on administrative leave with pay pending the outcome of the court case, Woodbury Heights Mayor William Packer confirmed Wednesday.

Contacted Wednesday afternoon, Moline referred questions about the matter to his attorney, Christopher St. John, who offered a brief comment.
