Police ID man killed in East Village encampment stabbing [Breaking]

A man who was fatally stabbed during a fight at a homeless encampment in East Village on Sunday was identified as a 41-year-old transient, San Diego police said Thursday.

The other man, identified as Paul Bellow, 57, is suspected of holding a knife to the woman’s throat and then stabbing Morales when he tried to intervene, Sharki said.Officers arrived to find Morales suffering from multiple stab wounds to his torso, police said. They initiated life-saving attempts until medics arrived and took over, but he died at the scene.
