The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced an investigation after a man was shot in Southwest Jacksonville Saturday evening.
At 7:15 p.m. JSO received a call that an individual was shot near the intersection of Bending Branch Ct and Weather Vane Dr. When arriving, a woman-of-interest was detained on the scene. The male-person-of-interest had left the scene and driven himself to a nearby hospital prior to the police’s arrival. The man was located shortly afterward and did not sustain any life-threatening injuries to their torso.
The relationship between the two individuals is not clear at this moment. The female applied for an injunction against the male recently but was not yet serviced to the male. There is no present danger to the public or any person-of-interest outstanding. JSO is still currently investigating the incident.
