Shoppers were advised to stay in cars, and the warehouse was shut down
Shoppers out loading up on groceries Saturday afternoon at the Great Oaks Costco in South San Jose were put on lockdown for 15 minutes as police responded to a report of a bomb threat there, the San Jose Police Department said.
Police received the threat around 1:44 p.m., and shut down the grocery store, locking shoppers inside and advising people outside to stay in their cars as they checked out the area and surrounding businesses. Officers ultimately determined the call to be a hoax, the department said. Officers stayed in the area afterwards to ensure that no emergency was taking place.Ask Amy: I think my neighbor is in trouble, and I don't know who to tellAsk Amy: Angry aunt thinks she can ditch us and remain in our kids' livesMonaco billionaire agrees to provide public access to scenic Big Sur oceanfront property
