Police have identified a 15-year-old they say was responsible for a false bomb threat against a Montgomery County high school.

Police said the 15-year-old admitted to being the one responsible and was charged as a juvenile with threats of mass violence. The 15-year-old was released to their parents. The case was forwarded to the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services for review, police said.that have disrupted classes and led to temporary evacuations while police searched the schools.
In all instances, no explosive devices were found during on school grounds and police inform the schools that the threats had been “determined not valid.” Previously, police identified a 12-year-old who had emailed bomb threats targeting Montgomery Blair High School five times from Oct. 13 to Oct. 24, authorities said. Police also said the 12-year-old admitted to sending emailed bomb threats that targeted Oak View Elementary School and Silver Spring International Middle School.
