A search of the man\u0027s person recovered methamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis and pills including hydromorphone and morphine.
On Thursday at about 7 p.m., police arrested a 39-year-old man in the 400 block of Ludlow Street, police said in a media release. Police suspected the man to be trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine, as well as having access to firearms.
A search of the man recovered 40.1 grams of methamphetamine, 27.2 grams of cocaine, 11.8 grams of buff, 34.1 grams of cannabis, one MDMA pill, 85 hydromorphone pills and 80 100-milligram morphine pills. Police also seized numerous other pills scheduled under the Canadian Drugs and Substances Act. Officers also seized a loaded, sawed-off shotgun, drug packaging, a scale, a cellphone and $40 in cash from the man.
A subsequent search of a Waldheim home recovered a loaded .357 revolver and ammunition, a dismantled but functional bolt action rifle, firearm parts, various rounds of ammunition and soft body armour. A single morphine pill, six cellular devices and items indicative of drug trafficking were also seized.
The man is charged with trafficking and possession for the purposing of trafficking of both cocaine and methamphetamine. He is also charged with possession of the proceeds of crime, possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and numerous other drug and weapons related charges.
