cryptonews: Polygon Bridge users forgot to reclaim $27M 👀
It must be nice to be able to forget to complete the second half of a simple, two-step transaction to reclaim $2 million and not notice it.
While 0x007 may have been far and away the biggest of the fund forgetters, they were hardly the only one, said Tal Be'ery co-founder and CTO of ZenGo, in a Nov. 28 blog post. In all, some $27 million in Ether and the USDT, USDC and DAI stablecoins had been lost in mid-transaction. But, in the other direction, the user has to send their Polygon tokens to a burn address, wait an hour or so, and then send a second Ethereum transaction to reclaim their funds, the company said.
