Postino, which already has locations in Houston and Katy, will open its sixth location next week at Hughes Landing.
has designed the restaurant to reflect local history. For the Woodlands, the Postino space will honor the late George P. Mitchell’s vision for the community with an art wall created with hundreds of 1950s and 1960s fedoras, a nod to Howard Hughes’ style.
“The Woodlands has been on our radar since we first opened at Heights Mercantile five years ago,” said Postino Co-founder Lauren Bailey. “It’s definitely been worth the wait to find the perfect space to open within the community. The Woodlands embodies everything that excites us — a relaxed vibe connected to the beauty of the outdoors, the familial energy, its burgeoning food scene and the cultural vibrancy of an international population.
The Postino menu includes bruschetta boards, cheese and charcuterie boards, panini sandwiches, soups and salads, and snack-minded appetizers such as crispy cauliflower, meatballs with goat cheese, shrimp scampi, beef and chicken skewers, and smoked salmon with whipped feta. The beverage program includes wine, beer, and cider; a summer wine list will include 30 bottles and by-the-glass options.
Postino is not done with expansion in Texas. Beyond Houston the company is planning on opening in other Texas markets including San Antonio .
