Soup kid's afraid to leave his soup
I made this and I was totally impressed. The only thing was I couldn’t find the Cubanello chilies here where I live. So I used Anaheim chilies. I like hominy so I added 15 ozs more. The flavor was amazing and I will definitely make again.Honestly I didn't think this dish was THAT amazing when I first cooked it and ate it fresh. I had a huge pot of leftovers that I felt guilty throwing out, so I froze the entire thing in about 10 tupperwares.
I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or if everyone else starts with chicken broth instead of water or what. I dislike that the recipe dictates adding 12 cups of water to start but doesn’t indicate about what the volume should be at the end. I still think this is a good recipe, but instead of adding 12 cups of water, from now on I’m going to start with less volume and make it chicken broth instead.Will be making again sometime soon.
