Developer proposing new Costco in Crenshaw district that will include 800 housing units on top of building
A developer is proposing a mixed-use complex that will feature a Costco and 800 residential rental units above.The Crenshaw area may soon get a new Costco store that comes with a rather unique addition: 800 apartments built above it.
Of the 800 proposed units, 184 of them, or 23% of the total units, will be dedicated to low-income households. The rest of the market-rate units will be deemed non-subsidized affordable and workforce housing, all of which will be eligible for residents with Section 8 vouchers."It would be good, so my mom doesn't have to drive way far away to Costco," said Michael Brown.
