The woman accusing Majors turned herself into police to be charged with assault. The DA made clear she won't be prosecuted—but that context has been buried.
Over the last several months, a trial date for the ongoing domestic violence case against Jonathan Majors has been delayed several times and was delayed, again, to Nov. 29 at a virtual hearing on Wednesday. Shortly after the hearing, Grace Jabbari—the woman who accuses Majors of assaulting her in March in what New York police have characterized as a “domestic dispute”—turned herself into a Manhattan police precinct on suspicion of misdemeanor assault and misdemeanor criminal mischief.
This has included accusing her of participating in a racist “witch hunt” against Majors and accusing her of being the one who actually abused Majors, a move we’ve sometimes seen from famous men who are accused of abuse themselves. The new court filing also builds upon previous reporting from Variety that multiple women who allege Majors abused them are cooperating with the DA’s office.
