"I've lost, and I counted this morning, I lost 17 friends to gun violence and some of them I was there for," Williams said."Violence is not the answer. It's not going to make the world better because people are going to get hurt," 10-year-old Madison said.
They were just some of hundreds of New Yorkers impacted by the upward spiral of gun violence in 2022.crime data numbers, there have been more than 447 shootings in the city this year. Of those, 157 were in the Bronx.
