The protest is being held by the Lancaster County Democrats and began around 5 p.m. in Penn Square.
Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson will be speaking at the Convention Center as part of the “ Remember America Speaker Series ” in Lancaster on Saturday.Ahead of the event, protestors gathered outside the center to protest his appearance. The organization announced in a statement ahead of the rally saying, “We must not allow Tucker Carlson ’s message of hatred and intolerance to go unchallenged in our home.
”“Tonight, we're having a rally to encourage the people of Lancaster to be louder than some of the voices we've been hearing over the last few months that have been negative in nature to how we want to show up as residents of our community,” said Lancaster City Council Vice President Jaime Arryro.The “Remember America Speaker Series,” is being held by the Dayspring Christian Academy and it has garnered plenty of interest among supporters.
