The company is no stranger to super groups; they introduced SM The Ballad in 2010, and more recently. But SM used the stage of its 2022 family concert SMTOWN Live to introduce the world to a new set of iconic performers, Girls On Top, which is a fitting name for a group whose lineup features three generations of landmark acts.
The seven members of Girls On Top include none other than “Queen of K-pop” BoA, as well as SNSD members Taeyeon and Hyoyeon, Seulgi and Wendy from Red Velvet, and aespa’s Karina and Winter. At SMTOWN Live, they debuted their first single “Step Back,” a swagger-filled song that showcases all of their strengths and experience — especially the impeccable vocals we’re used to hearing from SM artists.But this is just the beginning.
