The rain is expected to linger Saturday but should be gone Sunday.
Rain drenched Southern California Friday morning but so far has not resulted in problems for the San Bernardino mountain communities battered by recent storms.
As of mid-morning, there have been no reports of flooding and no calls for service or emergencies, said Eric Sherwin, a spokesman for the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District.“It’s been pretty light rain so far,” said Samantha Connolly, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in San Diego, which covers Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties. She’s expecting steady moderate rain Friday afternoon and night.
The county will see light to moderate rain Friday with moderate rain falling from 12 p.m. to the evening hours, she said.Residents will get a break from the rain on Sunday.
