Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy’s momentum continues to gain steam.

Long stuck in the mid-single digits with former Vice President Mike Pence and former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, his support is taking flight just a week before the first GOP 2024 debate. In a second poll in a week, Ramaswamy is second. While he and the others in the race remain far behind front-runner Donald Trump, the businessman has edged Gov. Ron DeSantis .

In the Kaplan Strategies survey provided to Secrets early Monday, Ramaswamy is supported by 11% of likely Republican voters.Doug Kaplan, president of Kaplan Strategies, said, “Since our prior poll a few weeks ago, we’ve observed President Trump’s unwavering stronghold. Vivek Ramaswamy’s ascent to second place and Gov. DeSantis’s pursuit, closely followed by Vice President Pence’s advances, have shaped the dynamics.

A Cygnal survey out last week had Trump at 53.3%, Ramaswamy at 11.4%, DeSantis at 10.4%, and Pence at 6.6%.According to Politico and RealClearPolitics, Ramaswamy is on the move, doubling his average support as he’s made inroads in the media. “There’s no doubt Ramaswamy is rising. The only question is how much. While he’s at 6.1% in the RealClearPolitics average now, he was at 3.1% a month ago and 2.2% the month prior,” Politico said.
