The Baltimore Ravens are signing a Pro Bowl defensive end to bolster their pass rush.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that defensive end Yannick Ngakoue is joining the Ravens. Ngakoue was with the Ravens in 2020 and is now heading back to Baltimore to help them on the edges.More news: Jets Sign Former Patriots, Eagles Defensive Back to Bolster SecondaryNgakoue, 29, spent the 2023 season with the Chicago Bears. He appeared in 13 games for Chicago, racking up 22 tackles, six tackles for loss, seven quarterback hits, and four sacks. It was the lowest sack total of his career.
Ahead of the 2020 season, Ngakoue took to Twitter to ask for a trade out of Jacksonville. The Jaguars initially put the franchise tag on him but ultimately traded him at the end of August for a second-round and conditional fifth-round pick.Ngakoue would only spend half a season in Minnesota, securing five sacks before being traded to the Baltimore Ravens for a third- and conditional fifth-round pick. He had three sacks in the final nine games of the season with Baltimore.
