In Tuesday's game, Denson tallied two tackles for Team Speed. He earned rave reviews in the pre-game practice sessions from Rivals, with national recruiting analyst Adam Friedman saying,"He has the height and length to make it hard for receivers to create separation. Denson has the speed, technique and discipline to stay in phase with receivers when they try to run double-moves on him.
Chris Boyle: This was your first real chance to build camaraderie with your future Gators teammates. How did you enjoy the week, and what sort of bond were you able to make?Man, it's a blessing to see all of these guys move in real life. I love what I see. Jordan Castell, Ja'Keem , Jaden , all them boys are dawgs. I'm ready to get on campus with them. Jordan's back there as the quarterback of the defense.
Boyle: What were the final 24-48 hours like up until signing day? Did any other schools make a late run in an effort to flip you from Florida?Yeah. Miami was pushing real hard and doing their little NIL thing. I'm not really pushed by that. The culture and the coaching staff at UF is top-tier. Boyle: The week after your season ended at Bartram Trail, head coach Darrell Sutherland retired after 23 seasons in charge. How did you react once you learned the news?It was crazy. He didn't say nothing to nobody until we were in the weight room for seventh period . He just came out and told us. That whole experience that day, I was just messed up. I was pushing all that weight for him. He was the GOAT.
