The incident happened last week outside an In-N-Out Burger in the 900 block of Veterans Boulevard.

REDWOOD CITY – Three men and a 17-year-old boy were arrested last week in connection with a brawl outside an In-N-Out Burger in Redwood City, police said.Multiple assaults happened around 9 p.m. on Oct. 6 in and around the parking lot of the eatery, located at 949 Veterans Blvd., the Redwood City Police Department said in a statement.

Police said a pair of Redwood City men – ages 47 and 41 – confronted a group of young adults and juveniles they believed were involved in a strong-arm robbery earlier in the week. The men attacked the group with a metal pipe, police said, adding that the victims managed to take the pipe away and used it against the men, “but not consistent with self defense.”

Both men, along with an 18-year-old Redwood City man, were arrested and booked into San Mateo County jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, child abuse with the possibility of great bodily injury and conspiracy to commit a crime. The 17-year-old boy, also a resident of Redwood City, was booked into Hillcrest Juvenile Hall on similar charges.

Police said multiple people were injured, some of them seriously, but they had all been released from the hospital as of Tuesday.
