Seven\u002Dyear\u002Dold Benjamin Dufour is making \u0022amazing\u0022 progress and has been moved out of the ICU, according to an update from his family.
“His progress has been truly amazing and the doctors are delighted with his progress. Ben has regained consciousness, can breathe on his own, and has been able to communicate,” said the statement issued on behalf of the family by Tamara Cherry of Pickup Communications.
Dufour is now in the pediatric ward at the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital and the family hopes to bring him back to Regina “soon” to continue his recovery.On June 21, Regina police were called to the 200 block of Dalgliesh Drive in the city’s northwest following a series of collisions involving a black Dodge truck.
As of Tuesday morning, more than 1,000 donors had raised nearly $84,000, surpassing the campaign’s $75,000 goal.
