Regions Financial CEO John Turner said the results “reflect the strength of Regions’ business plan and our team’s success in executing it.”
Birmingham’s Regions Financial Corp. today reported its second quarter earnings.
According to the company, second quarter net income available to common shareholders was $558 million, and earnings per diluted share was $0.59. Total revenue for the quarter was $1.7 billion, an increase of 10% on a reported basis, and 12% on an adjusted basis, driven by growth in both net interest income and non-interest income, Regions reported.
“The financial health of consumers and businesses in the Regions footprint continues to be good,” Turner said. “Investments across our business groups are paying off. Strategic acquisitions completed in 2020 and 2021 are further expanding our pipelines and building revenue growth.” Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
