The Haas F1 car that Grosjean crashed and escaped from during the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix will be on display in Madrid next month.
Formula 1 announced Tuesday it will put the burnt husk of Romain Grosjean's Haas F1 car that crashed in the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix on display in March.
The remains of Grosjean's car, which split and half and exploded when it hit the wall at 120 mph, have been kept hidden away from the public for three years. Now, thanks to a collaboration between Haas and show exhibitors, the pieces will be put on display for the first time at Formula 1's exhibition in Madrid, Spain.Hosted within a purpose-built room titled ‘Survival’, the chassis will be accompanied by a large video installation showing previously unseen footage of the crash.
Grosjean was able to walk away from the crash with only minor injuries to his hands, despite the spectacular nature of the fiery wreck. The 36-year-old Swiss-French driver now races in IndyCar with Andretti Autosport.
