LAX's jetpack man might not be Iron Man after all.

A China Airlines flight crew spotted what appeared to be a person flying a jet pack 6,000 feet above the ground near LAX in Los Angeles. The Federal Aviation Administration and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which have been looking into three separate jetpack sightings above Los Angeles International Airport, said balloons were "one working theory" for the sightings in a statement to USA TODAY.

An American Airlines pilot first spotted what he described as"a guy in a jetpack" on August 30, 2020, while landing at LAX. Another pilot confirmed an object near his plane looked like a jetpack just a few weeks later on Oct. 14, 2020. The jetpack man was thought to be back July 28, 2021, when yet another pilot told LAX air traffic controllers that he saw a man off his right wing.
