The Fort Bend Republican has suggested the Army revoked his Combat Infantry Badge, or CIB, last year for political reasons.
Fort Bend Congress man Troy Nehls appears to have removed a military service pin he wore for years and that the Army confirmed recently was incorrectly awarded. Nehls, a Republican , blasted reporters in Washington , D.C. , on Wednesday for asking questions about the pin. He has suggested the Army revoked his Combat Infantry Badge , or CIB, last year for political reasons.
New details released in House ethics review of Houston-area congressman “Unfortunately for me, as an America First Patriot and an outspoken member of Congress, there are no lengths to which the establishment won’t go to discredit me, including my CIB, which I was awarded over 14 years ago,” Nehls said in a statement late Tuesday. On Wednesday, Nehls was in Congress without the CIB on his lapel.
