Vanessa Bryant files wrongful death lawsuit against helicopter company over crash that killed Kobe, Gianna and 7 others, reports say
Vanessa Bryant has filed a lawsuit against the company that operated a charter helicopter service stemming from last month's crash that killed nine people, including her husband, former NBA star Kobe Bryant, and their daughter Gianna., claims helicopter pilot Ara Zobayan failed"to use ordinary care in piloting the subject aircraft" when he took off in foggy conditions that had grounded police helicopters in the area that day.
The helicopter was flying under visual flight rules and was not able to be tracked by radar when it crashed Jan. 26 into a hillside in Calabasas, California.The complaint, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, according to the, accuses Island Express Helicopters of"negligence" and asserts Bryant"was killed as a direct result" of the pilot's actions.
