ResidentEvilVillage could soon be coming to XboxGamePass, according to a new leak.
Last year’s Resident Evil Village looks like it could be coming to Xbox Game Pass in the near future, according to a new rumor. The latest main entry in the long-running Resident Evil franchise was released back on May 7, 2021, and became one of the year’s most popular and talked-about games. It was not only received positively by both players and critics, it also garnered several nominations and awards. RE: Village even won Game of the Year at the annual Steam Awards.
Those who really enjoyed the story and gameplay of Resident Evil Village will have a chance to experience more of it as DLC for the game is already in the works. While publisher and developer Capcom has yet to announce any major details on RE: Village’s DLC, including how many it plans to release and what they will contain, Resident Evil 7’s DLC does give fans a few hints on what could happen. RE 7’s two DLCs were made available about a year after the game was initially released.
It’s not wholly surprising that Resident Evil Village may be finally making its way to Xbox Game Pass, given how long it’s been out on the market for. Microsoft’s subscription service has been known to also add recently-released games alongside much older ones to its monthly lineup. While its own games, such as Halo Infinite, are typically added to the service pretty quickly, third-party games like Back 4 Blood have also been added to Xbox Game Pass soon after their release.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers who have yet to play Resident Evil Village may finally be able to soon if the game ends up being added to the service. And with the game’s DLC set to release sometime this year, giving more people a chance to try out the game before the DLCs are made available could get more players to experience them as well.Resident Evil Village is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
