A female pit bull turned out to be one lucky dog last Saturday at a time when all hope for its survival seemed lost.
An emaciated pit bull found in a wooded area off Richmond Road was rescued by Richmond Heights police and is recovering thanks to care provided, without charge, by VCA Veterinary of Warrensville Heights. After receiving the call from Nych, Wetzel said, “We had to go take a little hike through and encountered this dog, who was not amenable to coming to it. “ were able to actually put in a police car and transport it to VCA Veterinary in Warrensville Heights, and the veterinary clinic said they would do it pro bono. Of course, we couldn’t pay , so they agreed to do it, and I applaud them for that,” Wetzel said.
“The last report we had is it’s recovering, believe it or not, because when you see , it looks awful.”Skating with a Cop
