A Blue Alert was issued in connection with the shooting. Blue Alerts began in 2008 and are designed to speed up the apprehension of violent criminals who kill or seriously wound law enforcement officers. To be eligible for the cash reward, tipsters must provide information to authorities using one of the following methods:Texas 10 Most Wanted websiteAll tips are anonymous regardless of how they are submitted, and tipsters will be provided a tip number instead of using a name.
