Pelican Builders plans to break ground on The Lexington, a 40-unit condo building at 2419 Mimosa, in early 2023.Pelican Builders will break ground early next year on its next condo project, an eight-story midrise in the River Oaks area with prices starting at $1.7 million.

The buildings, located just east of Kirby Drive and south of San Felipe next to The Huntingdon condo tower, are among four recent developments designed in collaboration with Houston-based Kirksey Architecture.“As with The Revere before it, we intend to bring a sophisticated, single-level way of living to this ever-transitioning area nestled between River Oaks and Avalon Place via The Lexington,” Derek Darnell, president of Pelican Builders, said in an announcement.

Continuing the “Park Avenue Meets River Oaks” theme established at The Revere, the building will have six residential floors totaling more than 114,000 square feet above two levels of parking. An elegant third-floor lobby will have a resident lounge with spaces for entertaining plus a fitness center and residential storage units. The units will have large terraces, expansive island kitchens and smart home capability and access to a backup generator for power.
