AKRON, Ohio — A manager of a fast-food restaurant in the Summit Lake neighborhood ended up getting hit with a pan after trying to stop a robber who had climbed in through the drive-thru window.
Police say the robbery occurred at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday at a Church’s Texas Chicken on the corner of South Main Street and Gregory Avenue. The manager tells police she saw the male suspect climb in through the drive-thru. She confronted the suspect, who struck her with a pan and then took money from the cash register before fleeing on foot, police say.
