State police in Maine said they were expanding their search area on Thursday morning for Robert Card, the person of interest in two mass shooting incidents that left at least 16 dead.'We are expanding the shelter in place advisory and school closings to include the town of Bowdoin. Please stay inside your homes while more than 100 investigators, both local and federal, work to locate Robert Card who is a person of interest in the Lewiston shootings,' the state police posted on Facebook.
Local law enforcement agencies told businesses and residents to lock their doors and stay inside as the search for Card, 40, continues.Shortly after the shootings, the state police said they had recovered a 'vehicle of interest' in the area of Lisbon, prompting the shelter-in-place order for the area 'as law enforcement works in that area to locate Card.'The map below shows the search area for Card in the areas of Lewiston, Lisbon and Bowdoin.
