Chief financial officer for Round Rock ISD, Dennis Covington says as it stands today, the school district faces a more than $22 million deficit for next year, down from over $30 million just a month ago.The school district also addressed concerns about jobs, to which Covington and the board assured staff there would be no concerns.“It is possible that some employees will be reassigned to other positions,” said Covington.
Covington also added that staff who are reassigned will not suffer a drop in their salaries between this year and next year as well.
