BREAKING UPDATE: Route 1 southbound near Route 72 in Delaware reopened early Tuesday evening after a crash involving a tractor trailer closed the road for hours.
Shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday, a tractor-trailer rolled over and crashed along the road, near the William V Roth Jr. Bridge, officials said.
Delaware State Police said after the crash there was a spillage of Buckman's Liquid Shock which is a type of pool cleaner. We want to inform the public there was a spillage of Buckman's Liquid Shock on the roadway as a result of this crash.
