The new monarch is getting to work.
is pictured performing official business in the 18th-Century Room at Buckingham Palace, alongside his signature red box. The briefcase-shaped box is used to store papers from government ministers in the United Kingdom and the realms, as well as documents from Commonwealth representatives.
There’s also a photo within the photo. In the background, you can see an image of his late mother, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, with his late father, Prince Philip. The photo was a Christmas gift that the couple gave to Queen Elizabeth’s father, King George VI, in 1951.at 96 years old, and King Charles’s accession ceremony happened Saturday, September 10.
