Ruby Franke set to appear in Utah county courtroom in welfare, custody case

The '8 Passengers' creator was transported from southern Utah to be present in person in the child welfare case.

YouTubers and 8 Passengers creators Ruby Franke and Kevin Franke scheduled for appearance in child welfare case Oct. 17. .pngYouTuber Ruby Franke, who was arrested in August along with fellow content creator Jodi Hildebrandt on felony child abuse charges, is due in court Tuesday in a separate case.in Ivins to seek food and water from a neighbor. The neighbor called 911, ultimately leading to the two women's arrest.

She and her husband, Kevin, had been separated for just over a year when she was arrested, Kevin Franke's attorney told KUTV on Sept. 18 - the last of the proceedings to be made public in the child welfare case. At the Sept. 18 scheduling conference, Judge Suchada Bazzelle said she would take into consideration a request to seal future court documents and bar media from the courtroom due to multiple juveniles being involved.
