Starting with the highlight of the build, the engine was designed in-house by Alois Ruf Jr. infusing new tech in the good-old air-cooled recipe. The twin-turbo 3.6-liter flat-six has four cams and three valves per cylinder featuring variable valve timing and lift. It also has dry-sump lubrication, dual intercoolers, a Bosch engine management system, and twin catalytic converters.
As a result, the mill produces 543 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque. This is slightly more than the 510-hp naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six of
